County Fine Arts Council
The
Hernando County Fine Arts Council encourages, promotes &
supports all the creative arts. It was established by Resolution #87-31 Hernando
County Government. It is composed of 15 members appointed by the
Hernando County Commission and meets on the 4th Thursday of each month
(Exception: one meeting for Nov. & Dec. on the 1st Thursday of
December.)

Founded
in 1974 as a showcase for various arts provides scholarship assistance,
sponsors annual Arts & Crafts show in November, workshops for
amateur and professional artists, monthly meetings held at Evergreen
Woods.
Hernando
Hills Hi-Lites of Harmony, Inc.
Hernando Hills Hi Lites women's chorus is Hernando County's only
women's barbershop chorus, and is a chartered chapter of Harmony,
Inc., an international organization of women dedicated to promoting
the unique North American art form of singing a cappella, 4-part
harmony in barbershop style. The chorus holds an annual show,
"Harmony on Parade" annually and performs for many community events
and organizations. The not-for-profit chorus supports causes for the

Hernando Performing Arts Center Guild
Five professional entertainment shows, from November to March, a
year are offered at the Hernando Performing Arts Center. Tickets are
available for the season or to individual shows. All guild members
are volunteers. Proceeds are devoted to scholarships for students
with performing arts majors or minors.

Suncoast Harmony Chorus

Suncoast
Harmony Chorus is the west central Florida chapter of Sweet Adelines,
International. Sweet Adelines is the world's largest singing
organization for women with a membership of 29,000. Suncoast Harmony
has a roster of 49 with members coming from Citrus, Hernando, Pasco,
North Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. The chorus performs
4-part, acappella harmony throughout the 5 county area. Further

Heritage Museum
The
May-Stringer Heritage Museum is a 4 story 12 room antebellum home
built in 1856. The home is decorated in the civil war, Victorian
era. Over 10,000 artifacts on display.
Guided tours Tuesday through Friday from noon to 3:00.
Donation $3.00 adults $1.00 children. Please allow 45 minutes
for the tour.
