CODE ENFORCEMENT The mission of the Code Enforcement Department is to provide enforcement of County ordinances and land use regulations for residential and commercial property owners to protect public health, safety, property values, and quality of life for the citizens of Hernando County.

Code Enforcement employs five (5) uniformed officers.  Officers are certified by the Florida Association of Code Enforcement. The officers performed over 14,000 inspections in the past year.

THE CODE ENFORCEMENT TEAM IS AT YOUR SERVICE.

Zoning approval to have alcoholic beverages at a temporary event are now being processed through Hernando County Development Services.
 Hernando County Watering Schedule Set at Two-Days-Per-Week

The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners voted to lift the County's one-day-per-week watering restrictions and return to SWFWMD's two-day-per-week watering schedule for a trial period of 6 months.
